Who is it for?
Children around two to six, and a parent who wants bedtime to get quieter, not louder. English. A web app, not a toy with a speaker inside.
Will they ask for another story?
The app will not. When a story ends, it returns to a quiet hillside and stays there. You can start another night later. It will not prompt you.
Is the free night the real product?
Yes. The First Thread is a complete bedtime, about ten minutes, with a slowing voice. The paid library is only more stories like it.
Does it read aloud?
Yes. A slow voice reads the sentences. It gets slower as the story goes. You can turn the voice off from a dim corner if you would rather read it yourself.
What if they touch the screen?
Some moments invite a soft hold, a finger along a thread, or drawing a blanket. There is no way to get it wrong. If they do not touch anything, the story still continues.
Do you need an account for a child?
No. The account is yours. A child profile is only a nickname and a type preference. I do not ask for a date of birth or a photo.
How do I cancel?
Account, then Cancel subscription, then Confirm. Three taps. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. I will not ask you to stay.
What do you collect?
An email, an optional nickname, a type preference, which stories were finished, and payment state if you subscribe. No trackers on the child’s screens. The longer list is on the privacy page.
Will it work on a phone at bedtime?
Yes. It is a website. Sign in, hand the device over, keep the screen awake while the story runs. A dim corner brings the parent screens back if you need them.
